Celebrate the Summer Solstice at Morro Bay State Park

Morro Bay, CA: Come and join a Summer Solstice Celebration sponsored by the Docents of California State Parks and the Central Coast Natural History Association on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the picnic area and amphitheater in the campground at Morro Bay State Park.

Inspired by summer solstice festivities practiced by cultures around the world as well as local Native American traditions, a variety of informative, interactive and fun-filled events will be available free of charge for all ages.

Try your hand at a variety of handicrafts. Learn about local wildlife with displays and specimens. Families with children will be able to take home their own handmade mementos of the day.

Please observe posted parking instructions on the day of the event. Event participants should park at the State Park Marina or along State Park Road and walk in to the event. Disabled participants may drive into the event at no charge.

For more information, contact Jerry Stanley at 489-9924, or Rouvaishyana at the Museum of Natural History, 772-2694 ext. 105.
