Hearst Castle® Plans Visitor Center Docent Recruitment

San Simeon, CA – Hearst Castle ® is currently seeking docents to volunteer at the Hearst Castle  Visitor Center.  Responsibilities include staffing the Visitor Center Exhibit and Information Center (they do not conduct tours).  Docents generally work 6 four hour shifts per month with time off at their request.

The application period is March 3 rd – April 3 rd.  Interviews will be conducted April 11 th and training will be May 21 st - 24 th   from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  Training hours may extend in order for students to observe tours in the afternoon.   For more information and applications call Julie Payne, State Park Interpreter at (805) 927-2014.
