Join California State Parks for a Summer Solstice Celebration in Morro Bay State Park

Morro Bay, CA: On Saturday, June 25, 2005, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. California State Park docents and volunteers supported by the Central Coast Natural History Association invite the public to a Summer Solstice Celebration in Morro Bay State Park. The Summer Solstice Celebration festivities will take place in the Morro Bay State Park Campground.

There will be informative, interactive and fun-filled events free of charge for all ages. The live entertainment planned includes puppet shows, storytelling, and music. Activities include guided interpretive nature walks exploring local flora and fauna. Also, there will be displays of live animals, birds, reptiles, and insects. Finally, participants will leave the festivities with a decorated tote bag filled with their handmade treasures and memories of the day that the “sun stands still”.

Morro Bay State Park is located on State Park Road in Morro Bay, CA. There will be posted parking instructions on the day of the event.
