| The Natural History Museum in Morro Bay SP offers four different school programs all year round.
School Program Details
Learn about the Morro Bay Estuary, Marine Mammals, Birds or Native Americans in one of our four different school tours. are available either morning or afternoon, Tuesday through Fridays, year-round. Morning programs start at 10:00 AM and afternoon programs start at 1:00 PM. You can also email your questions to schoolgroups@morrobaymuseum.org.

Marine Mammals
The Marine Mammal program features the California Gray Whale, sea otters, harbor seals and sea lions while emphasizing the relationship between the success of marine mammals and a healthy estuary.
Morro Bay Birds
The Bird Program focuses on the hundreds of birds in the Morro Bay Estuary and their adaptations to the estuarine environment.
Estuary
Estuaries are where the rivers and creeks meet the sea causing fresh and salt water to mix. Habitats at the estuary include mudflats, wetlands, sand dunes, eelgrass beds and grasslands. This program introduces students to basic physical and biological forces at work in the estuary.
Native American
The Native American program provides students in third grade and up with an appreciation of Chumash and Salinan who thrived in the natural setting of the Morro Bay Estuary.
