Holloway Garden
Holloway Garden was created and is maintained by dedicated State Park volunteers. This interpretive garden focuses on the native and exotic plants at Montaña de Oro State Park.

Enjoy a guided hike in and around Montaña de Oro State for beautiful views and a variety of wild plants and animals. Check out the Adventures with Nature schedule for guided hikes that feature the magnificent landscape and unique natural resources of the area.

Montaña de Oro Bluff Nature Walk
Take a pleasant hike along the Bluff Trail for magnificent views and likely looks at a variety of birds, plants and sea life. Binoculars are helpful. Meet at Bluff Trailhead, 200 yards south of Visitor Center at Montaña de Oro State Park. With guest Tracker Dean. (*A) 4.2 mi., 3 hr.

Plant of the Month Club - February 2005: Giant Trillium- Plants adapt to the seasons in different ways, offering their flowers and fruits at different times of the year. Admire the Giant Trillium, take some pictures or make a sketch while you learn about its habits. Meet at the Coon Creek Parking Lot at the south end of Pecho Valley Road in Montaña de Oro State Park. (*M) 2mi., 1.5 hr.

Plant of the Month Club - March 2005: Chocolate Lily - Plants adapt to the seasons in different ways, offering their flowers and fruits at different times of year. The Chocolate Lily shows its green and brown flowers in March. Admire the lilies, take some pictures, or make a sketch while you learn about their habits. Meet at the end of the Chumash Trail on Turri Road about 1/3 mile east of South Bay Blvd. (M) 2mi., 1-1.5 hr.
